Her piece includes efforts by Albert Okura to revive Amboy, California; the status of endangered motels in Albuquerque, New Mexico; and the mission of the Society for Commercial Archeology. Along the way she notes some motels that have endured the coming of the interstate, including the Blue Swallow in Tucumcari, Wigwam Villages in Arizona and California, and the Munger Moss in Lebanon, Missouri (above).
