I was going to comment on this last week. I was in Seattle for a conference, and my hotel was right across the street from the Seattle Post-Intelligencer building. I took a picture of the sign someone posted in the street's median in front of the building encouraging people to contact Hearst Corp to save the PI.

I learned last night, and confirmed today, that the PI in print has been killed. Today is the last print issue of the 149 year old newspaper.
