Beijing Street Art - 798 Art District (1 of 2)

Culling through photos from my summer travels in China, I wanted to share some pix from an extraordinary indoor/outdoor artspace: Beijing's 798 district. It's a playful, disruptive, thought-provoking collection of galleries, cafes, outdoor pieces, and street art. Some folks complain that 798's gotten too sanitized lately, but I still recommend this stop for anyone wanting to experience a little of Beijing's avant-garde scene. [Oh, and here's a link to the blog-post I wrote on the day of my visit.]
